As we all know, Dave Adams was very intelligent -- but he put in the hours studying as well.  However, I admired Dave as a person who saw life from an emotional and compasssionate point of view.  Plus, he was very down to earth.  I remember spending many days shooting pellet guns behind Clayaboya with him and other CHS guys, and he was just one of us boys shooting things we probably should not have been shooting. If I recall correctly, his mother told me, Dave's ashes were buried at the base of a giant redwood -- very fitting.  I will always remember Dave as a good friend.

Dave became one of my closest friends while at Claremont High.  We lost contact after high school, sadly, and I was shocked by his death.  He was a highly intelligent and good hearted person.  He once bought his parents, of limited means, a TV set while still in high school from his paper route earnings.
